Our Room In Florence

The whole idea of staying in Florence was to find somewhere a bit cheaper that we could stay for a month and use as a base to see Tuscany.

Well, we achieved that through the AIRbnb website with the room we are taking for the next month. We will be sharing with the owners, a young couple named Breditz and Nadjia.

We have our own room and separate bathroom on the second floor in an old family owned three storey building in a lane way that comes off Piazza San Lorenzo and the leather market area. We will share the little kitchen with Breditz and Nadjia and anyone else who may rent the other bedroom.

I have a feeling that we may be two of the eldest people that have ever stayed here, but we feel quite at home and Breditz and Nadjia have made us feel very welcome, who incidentally are both about our daughters age.

One thing of note, we should both have thighs of steel after one month of all of this stair climbing.

So this is home for the next four weeks. Four weeks when we hope to see so very much, cannot wait.
