Lesley has worked tirelessly throughout our trip organising our accommodation and this time she had us checked into the AC Burgos Marriott hotel on the edge of the old town. She is now a master of finding great deals and got us in here cheaper for much of our other accommodation we have used on this trip. Although it was a nice change to stay in a nice hotel we still prefer staying in apartments where you can feel like you have a little home in each town. But his was quite enjoyable and a fantastic location.

The big historical attraction here is the massive Catherdral that dominates the old town. The best way to describe this building is spectacular!!

The great thing is the Christmas Markets are in full swing here, you can find them in a number of squares and along the river. They are full of stalls selling a wide variety of food produce, clothes, jewellery, wines, beers, annd all assorted knick-knacks, they are great fun to walk around, especially at night when they are all lit up.

The food has been enjoyable, but not as good as San Sebastián or Barcelona.

There has been plenty of other things to see around Burgos and we have filled our time up with exploring the old town and along the river,
