On Thursday we were keen to go to a local market, and the nearby village of Coussac Bonneval had one on this morning. We arrived early in the morning, about 10am, so as to guarantee it was still open...it was...both vans were waiting for customers.

Coussac Bonneval and Its Market |
We had to laugh, it was nearly non-existant. We had been hoping for something a bit bigger. When we stopped to take a look the dozen or so locals that were making their choices at the vans all stopped, turned around, looked at us........strangers in town!!!!
Well the market had turned out to be a bit of a flop so we decided to explore around a few more villages in the area.

A Lovely Chateau |
We came across a few pretty little towns and some nice views

Then it was back to the cottage, this time Lesley prepared a yummy Chicken Chassout with lovely vegetables (sorry I keep saying lovely vegetables....I've had enough of salads for a while).

Dinner |
All was left to do was wash the dishes and go to bed.
On Friday we had an easy day, we had a look around Magnac-Bourg itself

We then spent the afternoon on the Internet catching up with Facebook, emails, the blog etc. The only place we could access the Internet successfully was out in the courtyard...thank goodness it had warmed up a little bit.

A Lovely Dinner With The Owners |
That evening we had dinner with the lovely French couple that owned the cottage, Hubert and Marie Therese. We shared a meal, wine and great conversations for quite a few hours....at least we didn't have far to go home....20 metres at the most. One funny thing is we told them about the donkey and two horses down the road and how they would often come to the fence when we approached....they were their animals!!!!
So the next day when we said our goodbyes to Hubert and Marie Therese and a few hundred metres down the lane we stopped and fed the donkey and horses and bag of carrots and apples.....boy the donkey was definitely the boss!

After that we started our three hour drive down to Monflanquin for the next part of holiday in France.
