We actually came across the Bastide town of Tournon my accident. When leaving Auvillar I set the GPS for the quickest route back to Monflanquin, which took us past Tournon, we just had to stop.
Driving along we noticed another hilltop town, this time with one of the ugliest towers I have seen. We noticed the signposts to the village of Tournon also indicated that it was a Bastide town, hey we were in no hurry, so we went to have a look around.

Going into the village we noticed quite a few cars about, but as we are becoming accustomed to....no people.

Yes, we had stumbled across another attractive French village, not rated by the French as pretty, but was pretty interesting and still very nice.

We then had a look down a few of the streets and the great looking buildings, it looked like a few of the restaurants maybe open in the evenings, we had missed lunch time so they were of course closed.

Well, what a day, we had managed to see 4 wonderful French villages, have a tasty lunch, and tonight we are having the slow cooked beef cheeks we bought at the market yesterday, Lesley is making a Ratatouille to go with the beef....it all smells so good...time to go and eat!!
