While wandering around the Millevin Wine Festival yesterday, we kept seeing signs for the Week-End Gastronomique which was taking over the venue that Millevin was currently in.

Could Not Miss This |
So we checked this out on the Internet and found out that it was a big National Farmers Market that will run for 3 days....farmers will be bringing produce from all over France, products include Cider, Wine, Champagne, Beer, Duck Products, Vegetables, Meats, Cakes....you get the idea..a foodies heaven...we were not going to miss that!

Nice and Quiet Today |
The market opened at midday and we were there shortly after, all signs of the Millevin Wine Festival had disappeared and we now had a great farmers market in its place. Not all the stalls were open today, but should be up and running over the weekend. So we will come back here a few times over the weekend to check things out.

We had a great time today walking around the stalls and talking to the producers (all who could speak some English). We even got a "Ow, yer goin mate?" from one chef who had worked in Maroochydore for 8 months...we bought a great big helping of his duck legs, duck liver sausages, potatoes and onions...lunch sorted.......we washed all of that down with some great Cider from Normandy.
